Sound Storm is a game-based auditory training software, developed at NAL, designed to remediate spatial processing disorders (SPD). Children diagnosed with SPD have difficulty understanding speech in noise, even though their hearing thresholds are normal. Our studies have shown that SPD is reversible with this training.
Sound Storm is based on the Windows program LiSN & Learn (Cameron & Dillon, 2012), which was developed by NAL. Sound Storm uses the same specially-designed auditory stimuli and response protocols as LiSN & Learn.
Please note Sound Storm supercedes LiSN & Learn, which is no longer available. It is only suitable for the iPad. You can access Sound Storm on the iOS app store.
