About the role
As an audiologist working at NAL, you will be involved in helping deliver cutting-edge research on novel innovations and approaches to helping people with hearing loss. Your role will involve informing the design and planning of audiological aspects of research protocols, recruiting participants and conducting research appointments at NAL, liaising with key external stakeholders as part of a multidisciplinary team, and conducting day-to-day research-related activities to ensure the smooth running of projects to meet timelines. Our research is conducted in collaboration with world-leading industry partners, and benefits people with hearing loss around the world.
The key responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- – Assisting in initiating, planning and executing research projects in accordance with NAL project procedures including contributing to recruitment and retention of research participants
- – Performing hearing assessments and hearing-related procedures in accordance with research protocols and professional standards
- – Contribute to developing and managing research documentation and procedures
- – Liaise with co-researchers and external agencies as required regarding evaluations, research protocols, progress and outcomes to facilitate collaboration, consistent with NAL’s goals.
- – Maintain security and confidentiality of research data including participant information, in compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, and policy
- – Maintain clinical audiology expertise and keep abreast of new developments in the field
The successful candidate will have:
- – A post-graduate degree in Audiology
- – Qualified practitioner (QP) desirable, but not required
- – Experience in conducting audiology research studies desirable, but not required
