Elizabeth Beach is Head of the Behavioural Sciences Department at the National Acoustic Laboratories, Australia. Her current research covers a range of issues relevant to hearing and hearing-related behaviours, including leisure noise exposure and its impact on hearing health; noise exposure in the music and entertainment industry; development of strategies for encouraging safe listening; and motivating young adults and others in the community to protect their hearing. She also works on projects that seek to understand how behavioural insights influence decision-making in audiology, and how hearing services can be better tailored for those with speech-in-noise deficits.
